FAQ's

Can we buy our own appliances and have them installed with our Lima Kitchen?

Although we prefer to supply the appliances we will install independently sourced appliances. However we require you to supply us with all of the product information and installation details by the time we have completed our pre installation survey. We also take no responsibility to these appliances should there be any problems at a later date.

Can we just buy appliances from you?

Yes. We supply Neff, Siemens, Gaggenau and Britannia product at competitive prices so why would you not want to buy them from us? Not only do we offer these appliances but we can offer installation and with our hands on experience we give you detailed advice on all of them.

Can we use our own fitters?

Yes. We offer a supply only service and are happy to work with independent people such as builders and electricians when installing a kitchen.

Can you install my new kitchen?

Yes. We offer a full installation service that is tailored to your project needs and requirements.

Do you except credit cards?

Yes. We except Visa, Mastercard and AMEX, however for credit cards there is a 2.5% charge. Alternatively we can accept debit cards or bank transfers free of charge.

Do you offer a door replacement service?

Yes. We have done many door only replacements and are happy to work through the options you have so that you can make an informed decision.

Do you offer a worktop only service?

Yes. In many cases people like to replace their worktops to give a new lease of life to their existing itchen with out the disruption or cost of replacing the whole thing. Whilst doing this we can replace tiles, splash backs, hobs and sinks.

Do you offer lighting?

Yes. We aim to always supply LED lighting where possible as they are not only good to your pockets in the long run but in to the environment too. We offer room and unit lighting, both for practical and aesthetic purposes.

Do you sell online?

We do not have an e-commerce site or a price list that we would issue, however, if you would like to send details over of items that you require we are able to quote and supply without you needing to visit the showroom.

Do you supply flooring?

Yes. We supply a wide range of flooring including natural stones, porcelain, ceramics and Amtico. All of which can be fitted during the fitting process by specialists that we use on a regular basis.

How do I care for my new kitchen?

We advise that you never use any harsh or abrasive cleaner on your new kitchen as this could effect finishes, colouring or scratch the material. We also recommend that you use a soft cloth and wipe over with a dry cloth you remove excess and prevent smearing on high gloss finishes.

How do I care for my new worktop?

We always recommend that you use none abrasive cleaner that do not contain bleach to prevent any scratching or patches appearing. We also recommend that you always use chopping boards and never place hot pans, trays or plates directly on any worktop. Further care depends on your individual worktop.

I have had issues with other projects in my home and now cautious about who I employ. What happens if I am not happy with the product or work carried out in my home?

This is a very rare circumstance and we regularly attend site to check the quality of work being produced, along with being available to discuss any concerns that you may have through out your project. If for any reason there are areas that fall below expectations we will inspect and endeavour to address in the best way possible. In many cases this areas usually small tweaks and get addressed on our final snagging visit. If for any reason you still feel that the finish or work does not meet an acceptable standard an Expert Independent Assessor will need to be arranged to carry out a full survey, of which we would adhere to any areas deemed below acceptable standard. We recommend that this would be carried out through the Furniture Ombudsman, FIRA of which we are full members of.

I want to work with an independent company but I am concerned they will be too expensive?

Do not worry. In many cases independent companies work out to be very competitive on like for like projects. When comparing try to look at the overall project cost rather than individual components as this can be misleading. Also being open with your designer about your budget will allow them to work best for you.

What are your payment terms?

Once you are happy with your kitchen design we take a 25% deposit on the project. This enables us to start securing installation dates and carry out all surveys and checks required on your home. The following payment is for the balance of goods 1 working day prior to delivery. All subsequent payments are made directly to workforce upon satisfactory completion, this will be invoiced to you in stages through out completion.

What happens if changes need to be made after deposit?

In rare occasions our pre-installation survey may flag up issues that require design modifications. We will always aim to address these with the least impact to design and practicality. We will always discuss this changes and share the options with you. Once survey has been carried out we do not accept any changes.

What warranties come with my Lima Kitchen?

Different areas of your kitchen carries different Manufacturing warranties range from 1 year on appliances to a lifetime on our soft closing drawers and hinges.

Where do you delivery to?

We are able to deliver to anywhere across the UK. In some areas there will be delivery charges to cover transportation costs.

Why do you carry out a pre-installation survey?

Pre-installation surveys are carried out as a precautionary measure. This enables us double check all details such as measurements, services, products and highlight any areas that may cause concern during installation. While we try to eliminate all complications we can not be held liable for anything that is uncovered once your kitchen is removed as in rare circumstance unforeseen issues do arise.
